The Art Gallery

Treasures of French Drawing from the 15th to the 20th Century

The pursuit of exceptional quality guides us, with a particular emphasis on the state of preservation, in line with the expectations of our discerning private collectors and institutional clients. Through this rigorous approach, we present works of art that have entered major French and international museums such as the Louvre and the J. Paul Getty Museum.

We are particularly drawn to the Grand Siècle, with artists who marked their era, including Nicolas de Largillierre, Jacques Stella, Louis Ferdinand Elle, Michel Dorigny, Simon Vouet, Charles and Henri Beaubrun, Hyacinthe Rigaud, and Antoine Rivalz.

Our field of predilection remains 18th-century French painting, with notable works by François Boucher, Jean-Honoré Fragonard, Antoine Watteau, Nicolas Lancret, Jean-Marc Nattier, François Lemoyne, Hubert Robert, Jean-Baptiste Greuze, Jean-Etienne Liotard, and Jean-Baptiste Isabey.

In continuity with this century, our scope extends to the Neoclassical period. Thus, the pupils of Jacques-Louis David naturally find their place in the gallery, with Baron Gros and Anne-Louis Girodet.

Equally essential, the Romantic period is represented through works by Théodore Géricault, Eugène Delacroix, and Camille Corot.

Impressionism and Post-Impressionism also punctuate our eclecticism with artists such as Édouard Manet, Blanche Hoschedé Monet, Émile Schuffenecker, Jacques-Émile Blanche, Louis Valtat, and others.

Our journey through time concludes at the end of the 19th century with the Symbolist movement and its representatives. Among them, we have had the honor of presenting Alphonse Osbert, Edgard Maxence, Armand Point, Léon Spillaert, Félicien Rops, and Firmin Baes.

For us, the aim is to present works from different periods and to let them enter into dialogue, between Old Masters and modern ones. Beyond the great names of painting, we also contribute to the rediscovery of lesser-known artists who deserve to be brought to light.
You are most welcome to visit us from Monday to Friday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday by appointment, to admire our fine selection.

Twice a year, we host thematic exhibitions featuring a curated selection of works, accompanied by a scholarly catalogue. Since 2004, we have also taken part in the BRAFA Art Fair held in Brussels.

For many years, the gallery has been engaged in the preparation of the catalogue raisonné of the portraitist Henri-François Riesener (1767–1828), active under the Empire and the Restoration, and a pupil of Jacques-Louis David (1748–1825), in collaboration with Philippe Nusbaumer.
